The Marion County Health Department will be at Lakeside on Wednesday and Thursday, November 5th and 6th to complete vision screenings for all First and Third grade students as mandated by state law. If you do not wish for your child to be screened at this time, please send in a handwritten note to our school nurse before November 5th. If you have any questions concerning this matter, please call Mrs. Cooper during regular school hours at 532-2855.
Community Hospital and the Marion County Board of Health are excited to have the opportunity to bring FREE FluMist vaccine to the students of Warren Township. Seasonal FluMist is a gentle mist that is sprayed into the nose to help children reduce their risk for contracting the flu. FluMist will be given to all students who are medically eligible and return a permission form to school by November 3rd.
At this time, exact dates are not available but we can expect the FluMist to be administered during the first part of November. Information will be coming home with your student. It is important that the required forms are returned to school by November 3rd.

You are invited to be a PAC Parent!
Does your child ever take too much time to do homework… need an extra boost of self-esteem…use social media…or choose not to follow your directions? As a parent, do you ever feel like you could use some support from other parents who have the same concerns with their children as you? If so, you are encouraged to register for our upcoming PAC (Parents are the Core) sessions. Throughout the 2014-15 school year, six sessions will be offered for parents. Topics include: how to determine what makes your child special and strategies for building these strengths, homework tips, discipline, your child and social media, and information Warren Township parents need to know. The sessions will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at school throughout the school year. Free supervised activities will be offered for children, ages 5-12, who attend with their parents. PAC Kids is open only to children whose parents are attending PAC. Activities will include crafts, computer games and activities, game nights, gym activities, fun projects, snacks, and entertainment. If you are unable to attend the session at our school the topics will be offered at every other Warren Township elementary and intermediate academy. Call the school office or check the Warren Township website for this information. PAC Web Page>>> Contact the school office to register for a session.
