All new and returning K-8 students are required to register at the school they will be attending for the 2014-15 school year. High school students have schedule pick-up dates. Below is a link to the Enrollment page on this website with information about registration dates, immunization requirements, bus information, and school supply lists.
Check out these links to websites and documents submitted by Warren teachers and principals. Some were designed specifically for a school or grade level but your child may find something of interest. These are great tools to keep them engaged and learning over the summer. And, of course, don't forget the Summer Reading Program at the Marion County Library - Reading in all Languages.
Before and After School Childcare for students in grades K-6 will be offered through the YMCA. Locations will be at each elementary and intermediate school. More information on this program can be found be accessing the flyer.
For those students who may require medications at school such as Epi-pens, inhalers, nebulizer treatments, etc., 2 sets of medications will need to be provided - one for day care and one for the clinic at school. The YMCA and the school clinic are two separate entities and neither one will have access to the other's supplies or medications.
You are invited to be a PAC Parent!
Does your child ever take too much time to do homework… need an extra boost of self-esteem…use social media…or choose not to follow your directions? As a parent, do you ever feel like you could use some support from other parents who have the same concerns with their children as you? If so, you are encouraged to register for our upcoming PAC (Parents are the Core) sessions. Throughout the 2014-15 school year, six sessions will be offered for parents. Topics include: how to determine what makes your child special and strategies for building these strengths, homework tips, discipline, your child and social media, and information Warren Township parents need to know. The sessions will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at school throughout the school year. Free supervised activities will be offered for children, ages 5-12, who attend with their parents. PAC Kids is open only to children whose parents are attending PAC. Activities will include crafts, computer games and activities, game nights, gym activities, fun projects, snacks, and entertainment. The first session is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, at 6:00 p.m. To register, complete the form sent home at Registration or during the first week of school and return it to school by the due date. If you are unable to attend the session at our school the topics will be offered at every other Warren Township elementary and intermediate academy. Call the school office or check the Warren Township website for this information.
