Jennie Runevitch from Channel 13 and her cameraman made a stop at Lakeside Elementary to talk with Latiousha Smith, Chartwells' Supervisor at Lakeside, and Mr. Cox. Ms. Smith told the story of how Mr. Cox came to her on Friday and wanted to pay $100 towards any student(s)' food service account that had a negative balance. After talking, Mr. Cox has started a campaign to pay off all the negative balance accounts at Lakeside. He is "paying it forward!" It was quite emotional on Friday as Ms. Smith tells, and there were even a few wet eyes as she relayed the story again today.
